West North West Homes Leeds (WNWHL)
YHFF delivered 3 training days for staff and residents of WNWHL between January and April 2010. Up to 40 people attended the events on each occasion. Each day involved visits to 5 different faith centres.
• Beth Hamidrash Hagadol Synagogue hosted by Mr Mike Surr
• Makkah Masjid hosted by Mr Arshad Muhammad
• Leeds Hindu Mandir hosted by Mrs Usha Bhardwaj
• Gurdwara Tong Road hosted by Mr Manjit Singh Suman
• St Bartholomews Church hosted by Revd Gordon Newton
In each centre the hosts welcomed the participants, gave an outline of their faith’s teachings and in particular gave an insight into approaches to worship and prayer.
Most participants were not faith based but found the visits inspiring and enlightening. Feedback received from participants included comments as below:

The training events were the initiative of Monica Kaur, Diversity Manager at WNWHL and she was supported by Rukhsana Mahmood.
